I would have thought the very first inter-organism transfer of genetic material (i.e. information) would have been the organic precursor of the internet. Billions of years ago...

Just come to think of it, what life would have been without internet? You, Me and the entire world have to depened on so many IFs n BUTs, like it had been happening before the advent of the internet. Now lets get real and enjoy the boon to the mankind which was possible only after scores of tedious research and experimentations. Cheers WWW !!!!
